Rotational employees are a key part of how our operations run. Across roles in maintenance, ground operations, and flight crews, team members work on structured rotations such as 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off or 15 days on / 13 days off, designed to support both operational needs and time off. This Fly-In Fly-Out model requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong sense of commitment, as employees move between work periods and time at home. These schedules play an essential role in ensuring reliable service to remote communities, while creating a rhythm that teams come to know and rely on. Rotation after rotation, this way of working supports both our operations and the people who make them possible.

Some positions require occasional travel to our northern bases to support operations. Others follow a rotational schedule, where you work in the North for two or three weeks at a time, then return South for a rest period that varies depending on the role and the base. In these positions, the work takes place directly in the North, offering an immersive, cultural, and deeply human experience.
Work hours and schedules vary depending on the role and operational needs.
Many operational positions involve rotating schedules of 2 or 3 weeks. For flight crews, schedules are either based on a 15/13 rotation or structured over a 28-day block, during which they typically work approximately 15 to 17 days. For commercial operations, ground operations and maintenance, this often includes variable shifts (day, evening/night, and weekends) to support 24/7 operations.
In Nunavik, part-time roles are also offered, depending on local needs.
In administrative roles, schedules are generally more stable, sometimes with options such as one remote work day per week or a compressed workweek (for example, 5/4 or 10/9 schedules, where employees complete their hours over fewer days).
Yes! Air Inuit supports continuous training, professional development, and internal advancement opportunities.
Air Inuit’s rotational employees play a vital role in keeping northern operations running smoothly. During each rotation, they support maintenance, ground operations, and flight crews, adapting quickly to the unique challenges of remote communities. Their days blend teamwork, flexibility, and problem‑solving, ensuring aircraft are ready, passengers are supported, and essential services reach the North. Rotation after rotation, these dedicated workers help Air Inuit maintain safe, reliable connections across some of Quebec’s most isolated regions.
